Snow fall in Himachal

The vehicular traffic (especially tourist vehicles) movement on the road came to a standstill & was not allowed to rohtang pass, tourist vehicles are halted 11 km to rohtang due to the fresh snow in rohtang pass & there sould be a possibility of snow slides.
Manali in himachal also recorded snow fall. The number two tourist spot-Rohtang pass is covered with a three-feet thick blanket of snow. With the snowfall, the winter games have started picking up there
Snowfall marked the beginning of 2006 winters in Manali. Fresh snowfall occurred in most parts of the Valley.
This is where vehicles will be halted if there is heavy snow fall, nearly 10 km to rohtang pass.

The Rohtang pass- Ladakh Highway was opened for traffic(not for tourists) despite snowfall at rohtang pass
